It is one of the most charming viewpoints of the city, and yet it is one of the least known corners of Granada. From here we can enjoy fantastic views of the Albaicin and the center of Granada.

To get to the Mirador de la Churra the easiest way is to go up the Cuesta de Gomérez and turn left, before reaching the Puerta de Las Granadas, you will reach the Placeta de la Miga and then take the street Almanzora Alta and at the end of it is this fantastic viewpoint.

You can also go up to the neighborhood of Churra crossing the bridges of Cabrera and Espinosa in the Carrera del Darro, which were used to communicate this street with the neighborhoods of Churra and Almanzora.

Mirador de la churra – corners of granada

There are many breathtaking corners and viewpoints, especially in the Albaicín neighborhood. I am going to show you 5 of them, each with a different perspective of the red fortress or the city. They are also the most accessible for short stays. At the end of the publication I will leave a map with the locations so you can organize your visit.

This is the best known viewpoint in Granada. It is located in the Albaicín neighborhood and its image travels the world, it appears in guidebooks, blogs, magazines, newspapers… Why, is it really that big a deal? Yes, it is. It has one of the most complete panoramic views, you can see the Alhambra and the Generalife with Sierra Nevada in the background (in winter it gains a lot dressed in white because of the snow), part of the city and even the Vega of Granada.

It is not a quiet viewpoint, especially at peak hours (at sunset for example) but it is a must if you visit the city. A detail to keep in mind is that right next door is the Great Mosque of Granada which has similar views and there are fewer people.
